Duke of Edinburgh Award ExpeditionsWe offer walking and paddlesport open expeditions from Bronze through to Gold
“Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions”
2 day Expedition Training: Carried out at a venue of your choosing such as your school or youth group. The training gives the young people an understanding of the skills and techniques required during your practice and qualifying expeditions.
2 Day Practice Expedition: As a prerequisite for the qualifying expedition you need to have completed all relevant training and have participated in a practice expedition. On the practice expedition you will be putting into practice the skills and techniques which were introduced on the two training days.
1 Day Refresher: Allowing time to meet your fellow participants, plan your route, brush up on any navigation skills and prepare your equipment for the expedition.
2 Day Qualifier Expedition: Bringing all the skills and techniques together in order to carry out your self-sufficient journey over two days and one night. The supervision team will monitor the progress of the expedition ensuring that it is carried out in a safe manner, while the assessor will ensure that the expedition fulfils the 20 conditions of the award.
If all you are looking for is staff to facilitate your own training and expedition programme we can supply both supervisors and assessors, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
